Cinematic Animation Meets Corporate Strategy: Kong Animation Studio and Chapeau! Craft Bold Storytelling for PureFacts

Kong Animation Studio has partnered with digital product agency Chapeau! to produce a striking new corporate animation for PureFacts, a leading revenue optimisation solution provider for tier-1 investment companies. The campaign is anchored in the bold message to “Win More”, pushes the boundaries of B2B marketing films with a cinematic and emotionally resonant approach.

Under the creative direction of Peter Deak at Chapeau! and in close collaboration with Ed Locher, PureFacts’ Chief Marketing Officer, Kong Animation Studio delivered a visually powerful and narratively rich corporate film. The story follows Sterling, a confident and ambitious CEO, and his rooftop dialogue with his alter ego, Alpha, a sleek and wise Peregrine Falcon.

The film blends noir-inspired visuals, sudden bursts of colour, and a bespoke music score by The Futz Butler to heighten the tension and emotion, reminiscent of Hitchcock’s cinematic intensity. The result is an engaging, unforgettable brand storytelling piece, a rare example of creativity and strategy converging in corporate animation.

The film had to be visually exciting and narratively on-message,” says Bill Elliott, one half of directing duo Elliott Baker. “We went through multiple storyboard revisions to capture the subtle but important details in the voice script.

Co-director Tom Baker adds:

In early development, we often start wild. But then client feedback usually strips things back to something safer. PureFacts was bold in their vision. They embraced our ambitious designs, which opened the door to some truly creative storytelling.

They captured the essence of the brief almost instantly, creating an unforgettable and iconic character design for Alpha, while ensuring Sterling remained striking yet understated—allowing audiences to naturally see themselves in him. The way Peter’s and my script was transformed into such distinctive, powerful visuals, and then further elevated through the audio—was nothing short of inspiring. Collaborating with Kong was an absolute joy from start to finish.

The high-end polish was enhanced by The Futz Butler’s immersive sound design and voice performances by Courtney Michael, via Squawk Voices.

The corporate film has been launched on the PureFacts homepage and is also available on their YouTube channel, offering a fresh perspective on how financial technology firms can communicate value through creativity.
